Prerequisite

  • A GitHub account to share files and documentation (you can sign up for a free account, if you don’t already have one)

Requirements

  • You’re a UX Designer tasked with designing an ordering interface for an airport restaurant.
  • What is the goal of the design? An efficient, hassle-free, and fun dining experience for busy travelers
  • What kind of restaurant? A dine-in and carry-out restaurant with food and drinks
  • What kind of device? Tablet devices on each table
  • What are the different types of users? Business travelers, Families, Individuals
  • What are some assumptions of their behaviors & problems? Time limits, fatigue, options for varying budgets
  • What are the common use cases? Take-out, Dine-in
  • What are the benefits provided? Skipping the line, paying by card vs cash, checking flight status, and entertainment while waiting for the flight

Deliverable

Create three wireframes for this app showing:

  • The home screen (what users see when they begin using the device)
  • The menu interface
  • A summary of the traveler’s food and drink order. Annotate your wireframe: point out specific pieces of it to give the thinking behind what you’ve made.
  • Please include a brief summary of the work completed, methodology, tools used, and an explanation of reasoning for this approach.
  • Upload your annotated wireframes and any additional presentation files you would like to be reviewed (how to upload files to GitHub)
  • A GitHub repo with read permissions given to GitHub users rafty8s,bsneider, omnipresent07, and barakstout (how to invite collaborators)
